Hello my name is Eric Espinoza, this blog is going to be about the places to go salsa/ bachata dancing in Hawaii. I have been dancing latin dances for 6 years, i got into it when i met some friends at a park and saw them dancing. It captured my attention and i decided that i wanted to in there instead of watching. I am mostly self taught, learning from people at the club.
This Saturday i went to buho to salsa dance, live band Son Caribe, i arrived at 10:30 pm and it was packed. So many people that you could barely walk through the dance floor. The floor is not the best for spinning, as some of the tiles are sticking up, so you could trip if you are not careful. The place is very beautiful open ceiling and lots of air, great place to socialize but if you want to go there to dance instead of socialize i would say go at your own risk. There were more tourists than dancers, so it was dangerous out there, not many people knew how to dance so the risk of getting stepped on a hit were very high. Buho, i would rate a 2 out of 5 for dancing, 5 out of 5 if you want to go drinking and socialize.
